And the Flu marches on...

After we met up with Mom and Dad in Carlsbad, I got sick. Sam and I started out with a tummy bug, and then the day after we get over that, I got the real flu. I'm finally on the mend though. Last week I managed to get another tummy bug. So I keep letting the weight slide off of me, but I can't give myself any credit for it; it's all from lack of appetite or losing what little food I managed to eat. So I'm back on the plan, 16 lbs lighter, seriously, but hey, it makes for a nice bump. Here's hoping that losing so quickly doesn't come back to haunt me. According to Weight Watchers rapid weight loss puts me at risk for a few issues. The most obvious would be gaining the weight back, but they also cite gallstones as a consequence. I don't think I'll worry about gallstones as I have no gallbladder with which to form gallstones.

Eric keeps putting in for job transfers. I'm looking forward to moving, although I will miss this beautiful park we currently live in. I'm guessing he'll get offered the Chickasaw job in Sulphur next week, but he might not. He also has applications out for Oklahoma City, St. Louis, MO, and Springfield, Ill. I know his first choice of these would be St. Louis. He wants the offer for Chickasaw to wait until after he can find out if he's a serious contender for the St. Louis transfer. I'm sort of on the fence. I think St. Louis would be the best job for him; we're in agreement there. I don't think he'd be happy with the OKC job, and I don't know what to think of the Illinois job or move. I'm simply not going to look anything up regarding that one unless he gets a call for an interview. I have looked up lots on Sulphur, OK and St. Louis, MO. Both would be good transfers, for me and the kids. I leave it up to Eric to decide which places would be good career moves for himself.
